Bronze Course

The Bronze course is for all beginners, whether they have completed the Puppy Foundation Course or not. Many of our pups go on to do our Bronze Course, but we also have new dogs to the club who go straight in at Bronze.

The Bronze Course teaches all the basics of obedience training, as well as many vital socialisation aspects. It also covers a lot on being a responsible dog owner. Once the dogs have been taught the three basic positions, SIT, DOWN and STAND, these invaluable skills can be used when grooming, teeth cleaning, nail clipping, veterinary visits etc. Hygiene, cleanliness, inspection and handling are also modules within our Puppy and Bronze courses.

OUR “MUST” COMMANDS - The basic commands used by us.

HEEL/CLOSE means “Walk nicely by my side”.
SIT means “Sit your bottom down, immediately”.
DOWN means “Lie down, immediately”.
STAND means “Stand up and stand still”.
OFF means “Get off and stay off!” (people/furniture/whatever)
LEAVE means “Leave it alone: do not touch!”
STAY means “Stay there until I return to you”.
WAIT means “Wait there until I call you, or give you another command”.
COME means “Come straight back to me, as soon as I call you”.
And NO means NO!
